The Active8 Playhouse is an unrestricted supervised area that provides for children’s entertainment, whilst their parent/carer is in Active8 or the Richmond Club. It is not an alternative to baby-sitting or child minding.

• The Active8 Playhouse is available to members of Active8 or children aged 3 months to 12 years.

• A strict time limit of 2 hours, maximum, per child per day applies.

• Upon entry to the Active8 Playhouse, children are required to be registered and signed in by an accompanying parent/carer who must produce their current Active8 membership card. The child must then be signed in and out on the attendance record.

• Upon enrolment , parent/carer is bound to abide by all policies of the Active8 Playhouse.

• All attending children must have an accompanying completed enrollment form.

• The registering parent must remain on the Club premises at all times whilst their Child/children are attending the Active8 Playhouse. If it is found that the registering parent has left the premises, the police will be contacted on the basis of an abandoned child. Furthermore, the use of facilities will be suspended for 6 months.

• If children wish to see the registering parent or become upset or distressed at any time, the parent will be paged.

• Should children display unacceptable behaviour that is outside our code of behaviour you will be paged and possible removal of your child will be discussed.

• Staff have the authority to restrict children from leaving the creche without the registering parent.

BOOKINGS

Please make sure you book your children in advance at Active8 reception to avoid disappointment. Please advise reception if you are unable to make your booking as spaces are limited. It is only possible to stay longer than your booked session if the session after the one you are booked for is not full, please speak to the crèche As you would appreciate, our crèche is an integral part of Active8’s service, allowing our parent members to get the opportunity for a workout and a well deserved break. At present the crèche is subject to great stress at the time of changeovers between classes, particularly at 10:30. We would appreciate it if you could leave the class on time, and perhaps even 2min earlier to assist in smoothing out this transition time.

HEALTH

Allowed to come to the crèche. Please respect this policy and do not bring your child to the crèche, as entry may be refused. This is for the health and safety of the carers and other children. of the following in the past 24 hrs:

• Temperature

• Severe cough

• Coloured congestion from nose

• Sore stomach

• Vomiting

• Diarrhea

• Sore throat

We all need to work together in the prevention of spreading sickness to other children, employees and babies.

TOILETING

It is not an obligation of the staff to take children to the toilet. However, they will be watched if they need to go. Parents will be called if their child is unable to go by themselves or for nappy changes.
